An Indigenous perspective on climate and frontline action. What can we do, how do we heal, how does connectivity play a role in movement?

Tara Houska is an award-winning tribal attorney, environmental and Indigenous rights advocate, land defender and water protector, climate and social justice activist, extensively engaged with the Standing Rock protests. Houska is founder of the Giniw Collective, an Indigenous women, two-spirit-led frontline resistance movement. Houska and others from the collective fought for seven years against construction of the Line 3 Pipeline from Alberta to Wisconsin. Houska co-founded “Not Your Mascots.” Houska has contributed to Vogue, The New York Times, TED Talks, and CNN. Houska was a former advisor on Native Affairs to Senator Bernie Sanders.
