Featured Author: Monica Pelaez ’97 Assembles the Poetry of Liberation

Monica Pelaez ’97 talks about her book, Lyrical Liberations: The American Antislavery Movement in Verse, 1831-1864, in a recent Princeton Alumni Weekly feature.

Ms. Pelaez is an associate professor of English at St. Cloud State University. She holds degrees from Princeton and Brown. Her publications on 19th-century American poetry include essays on Emily Dickinson, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and Edgar Allan Poe. She lives in Minneapolis.
