Congratulations to Professor Simon Gikandi, who has been elected Second Vice President of the Modern Language Association (MLA), and who will serve in the position for one year before becoming President of the MLA in January 2019. Professor Russ Leo (Executive Committee, Dutch Language, Literature, and Culture Forum) and Professor Clair Wills (Executive Committee, Irish Language, Literature, and Culture Forum) have also been elected to MLA posts.
