Topics in Poetry: Contemporary Poetry

This seminar focuses on poetry books published in 2012 and 2013. We will read work by established and emerging poets, and attend poetry readings in Princeton (and possibly New York and Philadelphia). Poets will also visit the class to discuss their work and/or the work of writers they admire. Students will write reviews, rather than essays, and, in the process, learn about (and contribute to) the institutions that support and promote contemporary poetry.
