We invite you to come out for a presentation by and conversation with Paul Karasik.

Karasik, who is perhaps best known for his adaptation with David Mazzucchelli of Paul Auster’s novel City of Glass as a graphic novel, studied at the School of Visual Arts with cartoonists Will Eisner, Harvey Kurtzman, and Art Spiegelman. He was Associate Editor of Spiegelman and Francoise Mouly's avantgarde international comics and graphics review, RAW, and in addition published his own magazine, Bad News.

Karasik's cartoons have appeared in The New Yorker and Nickelodeon magazines. Together with his sister Judy Karasik, he created the autobiographical comic The Ride Together. He won an Eisner Award in 2008 for his anthology of comics by Fletcher Hanks, I Shall Destroy All The Civilized Planets, which was followed by the companion volume You Shall Die By Your Own Evil Creation. In addition, he is the editor of Masters of American Comics.
