On Thursday, Feb. 13, Anne A. Cheng concludes the series of appearances around the September 2024 release of her first book of personal essays, Ordinary Disasters: How I Stopped Being a Model Minority.

Presented by the Asian American Initiative at Columbia University, the event begins at 5:30 p.m. with welcoming remarks by Jennifer Lee, founding director of the initiative. Following a reading in conversation with Joan Kee, the Judy and Michael Steinhardt Director of the New York University Institute of Fine Arts, a reception begins at 6:45.
