Bio/Description
Kierra Duncan joined the Department of English at Princeton in 2020. She earned her B.A. (summa cum laude) in English from UCLA. Kierra is passionate about African diaspora literature from the nineteenth century to the present. Her broad concerns with literary investigations of power’s enactment on the physical body and relational politics across distinct geographies make her transhistorical by nature. Kierra’s areas of intellectual commitment include, but are not limited to, black Atlantic/diaspora studies, postcolonial literature and theory, feminist, gender, and sexuality studies, slavery studies, and genre studies
